Who would have thought that minutes outside of downtown Denver is one of the most exciting aerial adventures the entire family can enjoy? The Via Ferrata, which means “Iron Path” in Italian, has been a way to explore the cliff sides in Europe for centuries now. AVA’s Mount Evans Via Ferrata is located in historic Idaho Springs overlooking the amazing Chicago Creek. This breathtaking adventure is a true mountaineering experience loaded with rock climbing, ziplining, rappelling, and the infamous fifty-foot free fall.

You might be wondering how you stay on the cliff side. Well, this is possible by a cable that runs the entire way length of the course. You will be use an advanced internal locking system carabiners that only allows for one carabiner to be unlocked at a time, making it impossible to ever be completely disconnected from the cable on the mountainside.

You’ll start your trip by meeting your guide and gearing up at the outpost. Then you’ll take a ride on our zip truck through the town of Idaho Springs. You’ll start you war across the path of iron rungs and Jungle-like bridges. Be careful not to look down; it’s a long way! Throughout this adrenaline-pumping trip you’ll cross three ziplines, rappel down 70 feet, do a 50 foot free fall and more. This is one of the best ways to get to get above the tree tops and see some sights while really testing your limits!
